Specification

Once we have understood your requirements we will produce an outline specification. This document is an overview of your requirement and covers the basic proposal without going into the fine detail. This confirms that we have accurately collected and recorded all the information required.

This process may take several iterations before the document is finalised. This is managed by your dedicated Derventio team leader and a key member of your organisation.

Once this document has been approved a full functional specification can be created for your requirements that will show in detail how the various parts of your system will work and how they fit together to create your software.

Detail

The level and detail of the specification document is at your discretion.

If you require a full set of specification documents including technical documentation we can provide this or in some cases just provide a user overview.

At this point we will discuss the options available to you for the implementation of your software. This will include the language to be used and the target platform.

Derventio Solutions have developed software using a number of languages across a wide range of platforms and we will use our experience to advise you on a number of various implementation scenarios.

Once all parties are happy with the specification and the product is formalised the development process can start.
