Derventio Solutions and Shireland Collegiate Academy are pleased to announce two new modules for the SchoolIP suite of products.

The School Development Planner is a tool created to help develop, refine and review the school improvement plan in a manageable and visually intuitive way. The Staff Performance Manager facilitates and provides organisation to the continuous cycle of Performance Management.

The development of SchoolIP has been a major commitment from both Shireland and Derventio but now the fruits of our hard work are coming to fruition. With four complete modules and prime location at BETT 2009 on the Microsoft stand we are expecting an exciting future for the products.

Derventio Solutions have been contracted to develop a new web based marketing tool for Vaillant by RJDA.

The tool will help manage the marketing budget within Valliant and will be used by both the company and their hundreds of suppliers to share information about upcoming marketing campaigns.

The software, commissioned by RJDA, will be delivered early in 2009.

Both RJDA and Derventio hope this will be the first of many joint projects utilising the design and graphic skills of RJDA and the software development expertise of Derventio.

Richard Hopkins has joined Derventio Solutions after successfully gaining his first class degree from The University of Leicester.

Richard will join the development department within Derventio as part of the School Improvement & Performance team.

The SchoolIP suite of products is receiving excellent reviews from many schools across the UK.

Stephen Martin who joined the Derventio Solutions support department in September 2007 has received recognition for his excellent work over the past nine months. He has been highly commended for in his Apprentice category and will attend a special awards ceremony in London to collect his prize.

Stephen's attitude to learning has been excellent since joining Derventio, he has become a highly valued member of the support department.

Stephen is an excellent example of Derventio's commitment to providing ongoing support and assistance to all its personnel. Well Done Stephen.

Shireland Collegiate Academy and Derventio Solutions are delighted to announce the arrival of School Improvement & Performance (SchoolIP).

SchoolIP is the product of the collaboration between Shireland Learning and Derventio Solutions and is concerned with providing schools with 21st century software solutions to help manage the ever growing demands of a modern education establishment.

At the very centre of the partnership is the overriding aim and philosophy to use technology as a dynamic vehicle to make a real difference for schools, supporting their processes and staff, moving them continually forward. We are committed to saving time and then supporting the recycling of that time into the classroom wherever possible.

We wanted a partner to work with who cared about schools and shared our passion for making technology work for us. Derventio are just such a partner. Together we are hoping to provide the perfect fusion of technology and school improvement methodology.

After extensive trialling, Self Evaluation Form (SEF) has been rolled out to over 100 schools within the UK. SEF was devised in collaboration and trialled with a number of schools using the Shireland Learning Gateway and LA advisors.

The online SEF has allowed us to have a more collaborative, joined up approach to critically reviewing the current position of the school. It has enabled Governors and staff to update the SEF at regular intervals so cutting my workload as Head Teacher, whilst distributing leadership and developing a common, shared understanding of key actions needed for school improvement and raising children’s standards.

BETT 2008 was a hugely successful event for Shireland Collegiate Academy and Derventio Solutions with both the ILP and SEF products receiving extremely positive interest.

The Learning Gateway was the principle topic of discussion during the opening speeches presented by Jim Knight, Minister of State for Schools and Learners. His speech included real live access to the Shireland Portal acting as a parent to review the progress of his "adopted son".

The ILP and SEF are fully integrated into the Shireland Learning Gateway.

January 2008

With the continued success at Derventio Solutions and the future for the company looking extremely positive we are pleased to announce a new software developer has joined Derventio in January.

Philip Simpson has joined after successfully completing his degree course at Staffordshire University.

Phil will join the development department within Derventio and work on a number of the projects currently managed by Derventio on behalf of its impressive range of blue chip and public sector clients.
